These are fast moving bugs that can be mottled, brown or green. They also have black tipped yellow triangles on their wings. They’re attracted to flowers vegetables and fruits. They suck plant juices in their nymph and adult stages. This causes the leaf and fruit to distort, stung grow, tip die back and it can cause wilting. If you keep your garden weed free, then you’re less likely to deal with these bugs, which is an advantage of the Back to Eden method.

Potato Beetle

Also known as the Colorado potato beetle, they don’t just stick to Colorado. They also eat potatoes, cherry tomatoes, egg plants, tomatoes and even petunias. They’ll reduce the yield of your plant if not killing theme entirely. Straw mulches are a great way to rid of these bugs, so you’re less likely to deal with them in the Back to Eden method.
